4/29/2012: 3rd Annual ROCK the RIDE & RUN
Choose your own adventure!
Choose to walk, run or ride to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation and show support for the 28 million living with cancer today! There will be activities for runners and cyclists of all levels before and after the event! Friends and family are invited to join in the fun at the LIVESTRONG Village at the Trinity Corners Shopping Center, featuring booths and tables from local organizations and businesses, and you'll be provided a directory of participating shops within walking distance so you can enjoy the day!
We suggest you arrive between 7:30 and 8:15 am. There will be a meeting at 8:30 am and an anticipated start time of 9:00.
Riders will be put on a 40k course* (for those that want to ride a shorter length, turnaround points will be marked on cue-sheets) that will take them from Westchester County, New York into Fairfield County, Connecticut. Enjoy rural roads, rolling hills and some smooth flats where you can stretch your legs.
Runners (and walkers) will run through town and weave through lovely wooded areas.
We will have a CHILDREN'S RIDE!
All adult registered participants in the run or the ride will receive a SWAG bag. All participants are automatically entered into a raffle to win great prizes (must be present to win).
While fundraising is not a requirement, but we ask that you consider raising additional funds for LIVESTRONG. The top fundraiser will receive a special jersey at the event.

*40k is an estimate until the course is finalized and approved. The exact distance may vary by a couple of miles. Participants will be updated with the final distance once we receive approvals from all participating governing bodies. We may also have an optional hilly/expert addendum to the course for more seasoned cyclists choosing to challenge themselves further.
Mandatory Check-in for packet pick-up opens at 7:30am. We will have a brief participant meeting at 8:30am and we antipate wheels & heels down by 9:00am.
